MILITARY: Troop Stress Conference Under Way in San Diego

A conference featuring top Navy and Marine medical officials addressing troop stress, suicide and related issues got under way in San Diego on Wednesday.
The two-day conference features a variety of panels, including the latest research results addressing post-traumatic stress disorder, indicators of suicide and how deployments affect troops and their families.
Highlights from the first day of the conference taking place at the San Diego Town and Country Resort and Conference Center will be posted in a story Wednesday evening and available in Thursday’s print edition.
