UPDATE: Donald Trump Declines TMSR’s Challenge to Inform Americans That 100,000 Veterans Have Died of Suicide Since 9/11

July 30, 2015

Today, TMSR received a response from a PR spokesperson working for Donald Trump.

The response ignored in whole all content of the email challenging Mr. Trump to speak the truth about veterans suicide numbers and inform the citizenry of the more than 100,000 suicides since 9/11.

The response was a generic auto-response statement on veterans that is sent to all who send communications to Mr. Trump via his public email for veterans issues: veterans@donaldtrump.com

What seems clear at TMSR is that Mr. Trump is concerned about veterans just enough to collect their votes.

As such, TMSR does not believe Mr. Trump has the intestinal fortitude to fix the VA, the DoD, or the circumstances that have led to more than 100,000 veterans dead from suicide since 9/11.

What a shame, and a disappointment.

THE DONALD TRUMP CHALLENGE: TMSR Challenges GOP Candidate to Inform Americans of the 100,000 Suicides Since 9/11

Editor’s Note: More than (72) hours have passed since TMSR sent an email to presidential candidate Donald Trump, challenging him to tell the national audience he has assembled, the true facts about the 100,000 veterans dead from suicide.

Donald Trump has not responded to this challenge.

TMSR is calling on anyone with five minutes to spare, and a true concern to help bring more attention to the suicide epidemic now happening in our veterans community, to send an email to “the Donald” and encourage him to tell America that we have lost more than 100,000 men and women veterans to suicide since 9/11.

It is a national emergency.

Thanks in advance for your help on this matter.

Dear Mr. Trump, I want to believe you are a sincere candidate for president of the United States.

You are saying all the right things — except maybe the McCain thing — and it is exciting to listen to you speak about the needs of America and her people. But many before you — including the unconstitutionalist now occupying the office of the president — have stood before the people, and said what seemed to be all the right things … just to get elected. And it has proven out to be true. If you say the right things, people will believe you and give you their trust via a vote.

If you are sincere in all you say, I would like challenge you to speak to the American people, and tell them what has happened to the men and women who have come home after risking it all in combat, in the name of the proctecting the nation.

This comes from data provided publicly by VA and CDC. In my own opinion, it is a far greater number.

Will you accept my challenge to speak about this “100,000” number at a future event, and shock the nation into knowing what is happening to her treasured veterans once they come home?

You can have any of your smart people verify the number. It is very easy to do given the public suicide data disclosures to date.

If you do not tell America about this “100,000” veterans dying from suicide, I for one, would not believe you are a sincere candidate for president.

This is a national emergency.

You should speak about it in the starkest of language and tone. For every dead veteran, the VA (government) realizes a savings in unpaid liability (benefits) of about $1.5m, lifetime benefits. So you see, it is a fiscal matter after all.

The people have no idea this is happening. They only hear “22 veteran suicides per day” which seems, in a grotesque way, to be more acceptable to them.

Please tell them there is something called mathematics, and these 22 a day actually add up to more than 100,000 veterans suicides since 9/11.
